Cheap FE lol

I cut off the rear flap underneath the plate. Wanted a FE kit but i really don't see the point on spending $30. So yea cheap and looks pissah!:rockon:

+1 I was thinking my dremel could take a few designed cuts out...geeze, frame sliders/possible duel headlight and home made FE mods might happen this weekend.

Thanks for the positive feedback and maybe inspiring others to go cheap? lol. I'll get a side shot up before i leave for Laconia in an hour. New Hampshire here i come!!!!!! I honestly thought people would dislike it and scold me for cutting up a stock part, but meh i saved some cash and that tail flap really did look bad.
I've also been debating Led's but like i said i'm cheap and would have to make my own wiring harnesses and whatnot...I just want something for when i'm parked. I mean a lot of my friends ask me to go riding and we screw around, but most of the time we're squatters who just hang out for half the day around the waterfront. Anyone else have this problem? I know they're for show and all but i just wanna ride...frickin everywhere i can. Okay back to topic...i'll get that picture up.

Looks good, I did the same thing when I had my GS500.

I did this on my bike, something that i think works really well for anyone thinking about doing this requires 2 tools. 1 a old steak knife you don't want any more and a benzomatic torch heat up the knife to red hot with the torch and cut off the desired amount of plastic its like butter. finish it off with a razor blade to trim all the edges if you wish. this method works well for any plastic parts and allows fine control not available from the average saws all.

Did it on my old bike, and said to the girlfriend the other day bikes old enough to start cutting bits off this one, so good on you im looking at what else to cut off or hit with a hammer.:Sport:
