No, you're not really going to run into that problem in a curve - you'd lose traction on the rear tire probably before you could loft the front when leaned over. What I'm referring to is opening the throttle all the way up and holding it there on a stratghtaway. Flat and level, no turns, that kind of thing. As the bike quickly builds up to the 12,000 rpm mark where it's finally making all of its power (90-ish hp) it finally has the ability to get the front wheel off the ground a little, assuming you're not fat (and it sounds like you aren't) enough to keep it down. I weigh 52 kilo's myself, for example, so I have little trouble in getting the front end to lift up a little if I'm on the gas hard.
What's most likely to happen to you is the following:
- You're in 2nd gear, and you get on a long straight where you feel like opening it up.
- You crack the throttle open 100%, duck down a little, and hang on.
- As the bike gets up towards 75mph, it's in the fattest part of its hp curve, making the most power, at which point
- You notice the handlebars suddenly feel like they're not resisting you anymore, like they're loose
...at which point you shift and the front wheel rests firmly on the ground again, and then you either keep accelerating up to 135 or whatever, or you back off and slow back down. Something like that.
I mention all this so that if you suddenly feel the bars wiggle a little under really hard acceleration, you don't panic, but hold your hands steady and loose. But this will only happen if you're really nailing the gas, so don't worry about it just happening one day out of the blue. You have to be asking for it - this isn't a cbr1000 where the front wheel lofts skyward every 4 seconds.
