Im looking to buy a used Fz6 which years are better then others and what kind of mods are best to take care of first.. What should i look for while test driving the bike and what are common problems

Im looking to buy a used Fz6 which years are better then others and what kind of mods are best to take care of first.. What should i look for while test driving the bike and what are common problems

I'd go for a 2007+ model as they have the updated swingarm, fairing and gauges.

First mod should be frame sliders.

The only common problem that I know of, is that some people have experienced steering head bearing woes, where they get rusted out, causing the front end to clunk and move badly. Mine still seem to be fine and my FZ6 is a 2004.

Thanks i just put two hundred down on it and am taking my motorcycle class this week... What is the best site to get a two brothers exhaust? Im also in the military so if they have military discounts all the better
