Build your own FE? anyone do this?

I am having a few students in my class build a FE for my 2007 and I was wondering if anyone had aver done this(build their own)? If so do you have any drawings?

I made my own, I used to have a template made up but somewhere in the process of getting rid of junk and packing I seem to have lost it. but here's a pic of pre-cut sheet metal that after being cut out and putting a few bends in it + welding on some tabs for turn signals and a plate mount is what I used.

I made my own from the factory fender. It actually looks pretty good and works good until I get aftermarket exhaust. Cut the fender down with a dremel then took off the reflector and mounted the factory bracket in it's place. By flipping the bracket one way or the other you can have the tag tapered toward the bike or away from it. I chose towards.
