bike shifts better when chain is well lubed?

......Tensioning is a bigger problem, as i'm a lightweight, but often pillion the wifey, who is quite a bit heavier. Those are 2 very different setups for the bike, and since i can't change chain tension / spring tension every ride, i tend to leave it at a default.

With chain tension, as long as you have your default adjusted for the maximum load the suspension will 'see', a default is a good idea. Far better to have some slack in the chain most of the time, than no slack at all some of the time.
