Lost my cold weather neck protection, what do ou guys wear to keep your neck warm during the cold rides?

I use the Polar Buff in the winter and a "normal" buff in the summer to keep drafts out. I also have a reversible polar buff off the bike warmth.

How about an FZ6-Forum custom buff ??

I use a triangle cut of fleece cloth.

In 2008 a group of us rode down to the Devil's spine and it was cold as hell. I stopped by the Wal-Mart in Gallup, NM and went to the arts and crafts section. $3 for a square yard - cut into a triangle and bam!

I had 2 extras which I've given away. Cheap and effective.

I'm going to pick up a baklava though as well.

If not my manly beard then i guess a fleece balaclava will have to do cheap and effective no special washing.

www.motorcyle-superstore.com has them for 12 -15 bucks. I got the one with a spandex like material for the head so the helmet isnt tight and fleece down to the mid chest area and you get a sweet mouse pad for free.....

the $1 bandanas at wallyworld work great for me, except my ride to work, i can suffer the 2 mile ride without bundling up all the way

I have a freezeout baclava from cycle gear. The eye cut out isnt big enough for me though, might just cut it wider.

I use spec-ops recon wrap. It is light weight and can be used to cover just your neck or you can pull it over your head for balaclava. Supose to be able to use it 8 diffrent ways including helment liner.

Having said that, the coldest I ride hear in Houston is 32, and that's just to work in the morning.

Asked for this for Christmas, wore it for the first time this morning and it was WONDERFUL! Eye cutout was right size (I wear glasses) and my neck was nice and toasty Only thing is it may be a bit snug in the helmet if you are already wearing a tight helmet. Mine fits good under my helmet, but if the helmet would have been any tighter without the balaclava it may have been a little uncomfortable with it.

This is what I've just ordered, my brother has been using one for a couple of months and thinks its great, he picked it mainly because it doesn't go over you nose, I know some people (including me) don't like there nose being covered...

Received my new Spark Ci-Co balaclava yesterday. It was yet another beautiful winter day here today, so took it on a test drive. Finally, my quest for a balaclava that lives up to a "seamless" claim and doesn't leave my follically-challenged head looking like I just had cranial surgery, is done. It left no marks on the skin, and I felt no pressure points, when worn under my fairly snug helmet for 90 minutes, unlike other balaclavas I have tried. Bonus points for it having a long neck, long enough to tuck into a shirt collar, so no need for a neck gaiter except maybe on the coldest of days. Temps were 45-50F when I was out, but I think it would be fine way below that. A little pricey at $40, but there is nothing else like it out there that I could find. Highly recommended!

Just ordered one of these. Will let you know how good it works once I get to try it. Also, what are you guys wearing under your gloves to keep your hands warm? Went out for a ride in 45 degree weather this weekend and even with thin cotton gloves under my regular ones my hands were freezing!

I've got an Alpinestars cold weather balaclava(baklava is food) and my head/neck are never cold at all. My fingers toes balls and face are a different story though.

By the way, I rode to work this morning and it was 19 degrees. Never again.
