Hey "Vegas", can you answer a question for me? A co-worker just went to Vegas and he claimed the casinos are not comping alcohol anymore its been a few years since I've been so I don't know but that doesn't sound like Las Vegas to me. it really doesn't matter to me I don't drink anymore, but sounds a little strange.

for the record the casinos he claimed charged him for beer while playing were
1. luxor (think thats how its spelled)
2. MGM
3. circus circus

Strange, as long as you are gambling, the drinks are free. Depending on what drinks you order, they're mostly free. They may charge for premium drinks like Petron or Johnny Walker Black. The 3 casino's he visited, should still comp out the drinks. The Luxor is an MGM-Mirage property, so they should be all consistent with their comp policies. Not sure about the Circus Circus, I haven't been there since I went bungy jumping there a few years ago. The competion is pretty tough around here, it would be death to any of the casnio's if they started to charge for drinks while gambling I just got back from playing poker at the Venetian, and I had a bunch of Fiji water (no charge). I hadn't had a drop of alchohol since I've gotten my bike, which was on the 6th of April. No particular reason for this, just my choice for now.

as far as drinking goes I haven't had any alcohol in about four years, I came to the realization that there was a lot of things more important in life then getting a buzz. after years of binge drinking when I was in the NAV I just didn't need it anymore. (no judgement passed on people who drink) its just not for me.:thumbup:
