Anyone raced an R6 against an FZ6?

I don't think an R6 is loose in anyway. It's probably just that you're used to your FZ6. I think it would also depend on what year/model R6 it is. An 03-05 or an R6S has more power in the lower rpm range than the 06 and up R6. Plus the suspension on an R6 is three way adjustable front and back. Just my opinion having owned an R6 and now having the FZ6. Never got to race them though.

Didn't mean it in a bad way, just that being used to the FZ with its heavier weight and more stable platform (seemingly) the r6 feels much lighter and the front wheel turns much easier. It actually felt a little squirelly to me making a 90 degree turn onto the highway.

Yeah, I can see what you mean. I know I felt less confident in cornering when moving to the FZ6.

i have dragged my 04 fz6 on an 1/8th mile track and it will beat an r6 sometimes, i agree with whoever said it is mostly rider ability. The fz however does have a better weight/suspension setup for drag racing. I stage at 4000 rpm and drop the hammer, my bike leaves while the r6's have to worry about pulling the front wheel.

One of my friends has an R6, but he usually jumps to 100 without notice and immediately brakes so I can't tell how different we are. I always leave him WAAAAY behind in twisties though. :D
