The steering won't be as twitchy as it was before. I had the clipons installed with the fairing and had to have it lowered another .5"+ for that. So it should give it some relief now.

I apologize for reviving an old thread but does anyone know of an american vendor to buy the 2006 style speedometer cover from or the part number? The only one on the page is for the 2007+. I tried the burlington link but it is broken and the foreign company is just too expensive to deal with the shipment times too.

thanks

How hard would it be to switch to the newer 2008 style speedometer
Fits the bike so much better:confused:
ebay is our friend:D

Cause the wiring harness's are completely different, the mounting cradle is completely different, etc, etc..

It can, and has been done, but it is not just a simple swap.

They did a lot more work than what shows:cheer:
Hope you find what you need:thumbup:

Yes, the 07+ FZ6's are a slightly improved beast, in terms of brakes, more than anything, amongst a few other minor mechanical changes, but the instrument cluster is definitely the most noticeable...i do have a soft spot for the original round speedo, especially on the N version of the FZ6.
