Almost done with the bike, time for some picture whoring

Really gorgeous. Makes me think of how nicely finished Triumph bikes are.

I'm curious as to why you lowered the bike? Are you, um, vertically challenged? Or was it a just a style thing? (not asking that in a critical tone, just asking -- it's your bike.) Did it change the ride characteristics?

At 5"6 and some short legs, I'm very challenged. With the bike lowered, I can flat foot one side, almost both. It's no big deal riding on the stock height, but backing up is a pain. I park the bike in the garage and I have to ride in, turn around and back up....not easy when you're on your toes. Parking is easy now. Handles the same but I'm more careful about bottoming out now, haven't done it yet.

Looks sick! Some of those are on my to-do list.
How do you like the rizoma grips?
Also you powdercoated the headers?! How's that holding up?

wow that bike is awsome but what about a lower fairing or chin fairing to break up the whole blacked out bottom? i know the 07-08 have a lot better looking lower fairings than the older modles, but even if you dont like them the bike still looks awsome.

Wow! I think you should leave the pipes the way they are as it really brings out the silver and has a great contrast to it- if you could just get the logos off the pipes you would really be sitting pretty.

How did you get the speedo etc looking like that instead of the manky stock orange?

Thanks.

There's a piece of polarizing film that sits on top of LCD displays. If you flip it over then you can make the display appear in reverse. I've not done this to the FZ6 but you may have to get some more film and cut it to shape... not sure if the stock film is symetrical or not. if it's symetrical you just flip it.. if it isn't symetrical you'd have to cut it to shape from a new piece. you can buy the film from a place like this.

very nice bike... two questions...1. what color rim tape is that... i ahve been waiting for someone with a blue bike to do that thanks  and 2. what paint did u use for your black parts? thanks nice looking bike

Dude he already said that. You gotta read it all. It's mostly powder coated with high temp paint on the headers. :shakehead:

i have a gear indicator because sometimes i forget what gear i'm in but mostly for the bling. the backlight is actually reversed white. it just looks purple in the piccture.

Sick bike! How come you have a gear indicator and were able to change to backlit to purple?

I wasn't trying to rag on you for having a gear indicator. I think it's awesome! I used to have one on my BMW K75 and loved it. I want one for my '07! And is it possible to change the backlit easily? If so people have been holding back on me about all the tricks the FZ6 has up its sleeve...

Oh yeah! The Two Bros Will definitely do the trick!:rockon:
