Well I took a short ride this afternoon, left about 1230 and was back home by 1500 :rockon:. The sun was out and it was dry, but the temperature was barely above freezing
I followed the west fresian ring dike:
firstly to Medemblik, where I rode past the Radbout castle:
I then rode to:Enkhuizen.
Here's the crooked jailhouse:
the top corner is more than a meter out of line with the base
Then stopped along the inner harbour:
The white patches on the tyres is salt
I then rode on to Hoorn. Unfortunately they were still working on the dike road (have been doing for over 2 years) so I has to take a detour at Wijdenes.
Here is one of the city gates in Hoorn:
I then followed the dike back home to alkmaar.
It was great to get out and ride a different route to to my commute.
Oh well we've had a mild winter uptil now but they're forecasting snow tomorrow and the temperatures will be subzero for the rest of next week .
