A day of mods

Hey guys,

Finally got a break in the weather , so decided to do a few mods to the XR650L. Today was the first relatively warm day we've had in a week or so, so it was the perfect time to install all these parts that have been sitting on my bench. Here is a list of mods I did today.

SS brake lines
Magnetic oil drain plugs
Uni Filter
Re-jetted the carb
Clarke 4.7 gallon tank(doubled the range)

The only thing I didn't get too was installing the oil cooler. Maybe I'll get to it next weekend. Only thing you will notice differant in the pics is the tank. I still need to order some graphics and a vent line.

looks good! what was the mileage with the original tank?

nice I know the extra range will be nice.... I used to ride off road in the pine barrens

looks good, have you used the magnetic plugs before? I have always bee curious about them, gimmick or useful?

what was the mileage with the original tank?

I was getting between 90-100 miles with the stock tank.

I haven't used the magnetic plugs before, but I'll let you know what i find on my next oil change.
