I got my first bike on the road and got my license to boot. It is a blue 87 FZ600. Mostly stock except for the K&N air cleaners, Triumph carbon fiber exhaust, and a 2001 R1 rear tail with tail light. The rear tail came from the Air Tech FZR600 conversion kit found here (YAMAHA FZR 600 YZF 1000 R1 CONVERSION KIT, FAIRINGS, FAIRING, TAIL, UPPER, LOWER, LEFT, RIGHT, MID, SEAT, PARTS, WINDSHIELD, TZ 125, 250, 750, TA, TD, YSR, RD 350, 400, LC, RZ, SR 500, FZ 700, FZR 600, 750, 1000, FAZER, YZF 600 R6, 1000 R1, CONVERSIO). I had to cut it to fit but it looks nice. The blue "paint" is actually Plastidip till I get it painted. I originally paid $650 for the bike.

Not for sale right now. The boss won't release the funds for another one till I ride this one for awhile. Not a bad idea. So if I dump this one I am not so in the hole as far as money goes. I love the ride though. I wish I had done this years ago.

Very cool looking bike! Love to see bikes get used for a long time and show their worth! :)

Thanks, I think I am going to go for the final paint soon. I am thinking of a Mass Effect themed paint job. A hammered silver with a white and red stripe and N7 logos. Maybe even some blue LED accent lighting. Be different, eh?

Similar to these. I want the stripe down the top of the entire bike and the black to be hammered silver then the large N7 logos on the side.

Cool Bike:

I love to see some of the classics back on the road. I just saw a guy who re-did a 500 Honda interceptor. H painted it back to all stock...totally cool.

The FZ600 was my younger brothers first bike, polished out the frame and wheels was a great machine.

Good job on keeping a classic rollin
