Ok, my bike just hit 4000 miles and it it snowing today. I promised my wife I would put the bike away when it started snowing and I was just wondering would it be beneficial at all to have the service done before storage or after or does it even matter. I plan to fill the bike up with fuel and stabilizer and change the oil for winter storage in heated underground parking. Any opinions on what I should do with the service and or other things for winter storage?

You definitely want to change the oil, no sense letting that sludgy old stuff sit in the crankcase all winter.

I like to do a good cleaning, inspection, adjust and lube the chain (also protects against rust).

I would pull the battery or get a battery tender. I think you have everything else covered.
