Would I have trouble fitting an exhaust thats come off an 04 bike on an 09? I know the scorpion website has two models one for 04-07 and one for 08-09 so I presume there is slight deviation but saw a good deal on a province on eBay but wonder as its 04 if it will fit.

I installed a Leo Vince from an S2 on my buddy's S1. It bolted right on except for the hanger bolt under the seat - had to apply some force to get it line up, but it works fine.

Sounds like the Scorpion set comes with its own mid-pipe cat delete. If so, the mid-pipe needs to match what the model year of the Header is or its not going to fit. Ditching the S2 header in favor of the S1 gets you some throttle response back. Mind you you also have to have an S1 oil sump or grind and weld the bump off the pan and re-install it.

This is what I'm talking about. Hint; if you plan to do this, simply weld up the hole from inside the pan before grinding the bump off and welding will go very quickly.

Well that was very mean of them!!! Now to mod the header or grind the oil sump??

Me thinks - SUMP will loose this battle!

The rest of the story...
It all bolted up nicely! It has *some clearance* like maybe 5/16" between the header and the pan. No worse than it was. Put everything back and she fired right off! Headers already look to have a new hue....

I now have a base line to start from which YOU S1 folks already had! What is nice is the ECM with the O2 sensor seems to remap and lean pretty quickly. But as said, now its ready for the real thing and either bite the bullet and ship the ECM or throw the fuel controller on it and call it good.

Did I mention that she NO longer sounds like a Singer Sewing Machine! This is much better! More in line with what I expect! She revs's, she pulls, she sounds like she means business!! 10K now sounds like the old 14K... And the response is good too! It was a short run, couldn't tell if that hurt the midrange or not?

S1 Header to S2 Bike! Notice bump in pan is gone. 2 Bro Y pipe and mufflers are ceramic coated black.

It can be done and its pretty straight forward. But to answer the question, no - gonna have to find your own welder!
