What are your goals for the 2009 season?

Mine:

1.) Work on low speed maneuvering
2.) Pack on even more miles
3.) Do at least one track day
4.) Change my own tires
5.) Organize a group ride
6.) Meet more people in the area and ride with them more.
Edit:
7.) Sticky side down, shiny side up...
8.) increase my power to weight ration (nice way of saying to lose 15 pounds)

That's great! Think you could change my tires after you figure it out? :D

My goals:

1. Ride more than 7k miles (right at 6k this year)
2. Track day or more
3. Manage/determine the turn lines better
4. Make more than one trip up to ride with the NH folks
5. Keep the rubber down

Edit: 6. Post more on FZ6-Forum

2. Take a one week tour
3. learn how to adjust my chain
4. try a track day
5. get better
6. no speeding tickets!
7. rubber side down

1. More track days!
2. Break 90,000 by next December
3. Get my daughter to ride on the track with me.

get back on the bike for one good ride after the baby is born.

other than that, all my goals having nothing to do with the bike, as i don't see myself straying too far from a newborn until close to the end of the season.

Excellent thread.

1) Find a good job
2) Wife enroll in, and complete MSF Basic Course
3) Organize FZ6 Forum get together in Texas for the Spring
4) Attend more track days at more tracks
5) Become a track day instructor with Elite Track Days
6) Take a nice long tour

Each year my wife and I set a goal to ride 10,000 miles. We haven't made it yet.

I just figured out our mileage for 2008 and am kinda bummed out that our total worked out to be 7737. Over a thousand miles less than 2007 and we went to Florida twice in 2008!!!

So for '09 we're still shooting for that elusive 10K and I'm going to add I'd like to do an Iron Butt with Bryan too.

Dreamin' large...

Bruce

Hummm..me thinks someone is hooked on the track.

Keep the Buell on v.01? not only survive the year...

True! :)

V1.0 is the stock Buell...
I've made some minor changes already, i.e. bar end mirrors, chop of the rear fender, custom license plate brackets, fork + swingarm sliders... so I am at V1.1 right now... the last thing I want to do is chop the stock exhaust (done by a pro)... then it'll be V2.0 and final :)

or maybe I'll order a phantom IV headlight and play with it later on... we never know....

Hellgate: tell me about it!!!!!!!! :cheer::rockon:

Great idea!

1. Another accident free season
2. At least one track day
3. More miles = more experience
4. A trip to the Dragon (mid-week runs)
5. One or more camping trips with a loaded down bike
6. Meet more forum members
7. Post in the forums and try to be as helpful as possible.
8. Save money for a Top Saddlery seat
9. Obtain more motorcycle-specific tools to do even more of my own maintenance

So, with #9 in mind.... Rob or anyone else, would you all be interested in buying, as a group, a tire changing station? Good stuff that will do the job without damage? I can house it in the garage and everyone is welcome to come over to change tires!

1 take motorcycle safty course
2 put more then 600 miles on the bike
3 do mmore charity rides
4 get the money to mod the bike
5 meet more poeple in area (CNY)to ride with

What kind of track bike are you thinking about Wavex? I was pricing R6s and R6S' on Ebay today, nothing looked too good today. I still want an 1125R so damn bad, I can taste it!
