Downside, its probley cheaper to just fix up the brakes on the old ninja and add better tires.
Yes, that is probably true, but your just being logical. When does "I want" go with logical.

I think I'm gonna trade my 07' in for the 08'

I do agree that the new ninja is much better than the "old" one but as far as the newer 250cc bikes i think i might have to go with this one:
it is the same physical size as my wifes SV which is much more comfortable and still has all the good looks of the larger bikes.
Although i am not familiar with the make so i am not able to comment on the quality because of it.
Never mind, I found the web site. Not too sure about these bikes. I would want to see one in person and talk to someone who owns one of these bikes.
WELCOME TO UM USA
I saw their bikes at a motorcycle show a few months ago. They were impressive looking, but I haven't heard much about them. If I remember right, I believe they were much less expensive than other bikes of the same cc.
There is allot of snobbery in motorcycling I find; if you do not ride one of the big 4 manufacturers then it is not going to be very good, which of course is not necessarily so.
i disagree, the Hyosung is a 250cc v-twin and i beleive that the UM is a standard twin engine.
