When I was down at AF1 last Saturday picking up my FZ this Benelli 1130 Cafe Racer was in the dyno shop for tuning. All I can say is...well as my mom taught me, "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all." This thing is a TRIPLE! and has a frame that is bolted together!

I asked the guys at AF1 what they thought about it and the reply was, "Well this is what happens when the Chinese buy an Itallian company." The other comment was, "This thing is stupid loud, really stupid."

Never-the-less this is a very unique bike. I do like the ecentric at the rear hub, very cool, the colors, well, to each their own.

Don't know if benelli is any good, have no idea. What I do know is that I am in love with two of their bikes and this is one of them...

that bikes got a lot going on, way too much stuff happening visually

but benelli's not all bad. the faired benelli tornado is one of my dream bikes to own at some point in my life

actually, the frame is glued together, similar to how fighter aircraft are made to save weight. They use a little bit more advanced technology than some manufacturers, such as having the radiators at the rear or the sides to reduce the wheelbase and to make for forks steeper. I don't think anyone who has ridden one can really criticize them. The triple is my favorite by far, fours are not so great, they maybe smooth but don't really win races, or are tractable on the road like the twins - they get the best of both world's. but don't ride one after a yam.. you won't like it.

Hey Bnelli - Thanks for the insight on the bike. I hope I didn't sound to critical. It is a very unique bike.

One of my top five sexyest bkes, this one. Nothing else looks like it and that 1130cc triple is going to produce a serious grin when the throttle's opened up! However, the original one's were built like ****, abismal quality and Benelli weren't reimbursing the dealers for the loads of warantee work they needed doing.

Now they've been bought by the Chinese I don't know what they're put together like, but they still look like sex on a stick to me. Really need to have a go on one.

Frame are really... weird.
But that is my dream. If one day I have a Benelli Cafe Racer, that will be my last bike. :)

Bnelli, tell us more about that airforce frame, please.

I personally like the Cafe racer a lot, it has some different designs that i find attractive and looks like a well put together bike.

I didn't know about the frame being bolted though.

and no wonder it is loud, someone put that exhaust that looks like straight pipes on there...that is not the stock setup.

I also like those Benelli's although I'm really into the Trek. If you could Amazonas version in something other than yellow I'd be having a seriously hard time trying to keep from coughing over the dough.

Have you seen that thing in real life? it is HUGE. Not a bad looking bike, but deceivingly big...

This bike would be in my top 5 list anyday , it is sweet and the sound of that triple is

And get horrendous gas mileage...well at least the liter version does...was in the low 30's for what they bill as a touring/dualsport bike...

Not a big fan of the cafe racer. I like elements of it, but the stark contrast between sharp edges on the body, tank, tail vs. the round, and red, contours of the frame really cause a clash in my opinion. Visible round frame = sleek curves of the body. Visible sharp, flat frame = sharp, flat edges.

Either way, interesting design.
