04-06 seat on a 09 FZ, will it work.

I cannot say for sure but I do have a 2007 seat on my 2006 and it fits fine.

Do you know someone that has an older bike and will let you try it?

I have a stock 2006 Seat on my 2007 with no issue. Have also fit two (2) 2004-2006 model Corbin seats to my 2007.

Do not know anyone with a older bike that I can try theirs, but if a 06 fits on a 07 that should answer my question I think.

I hear you on that, not as bad for me as it is for my wife riding 2up. I just cut a piece of tool box liner for her to sit on, no problems now. Fabricating the backrest now since they want $220 from corbin.
