that's too bad about your 1000km service heather.
Mine is coming up too. Was planning to take it back to Bow Cycle, where I originally bought it. After that I will do all/most of my own maintenance. Hope your engine's running better
I finally am getting around to posting a quick thread on riding jeans that I have. Draggin Jeans. Jeans with separate Kevlar patches sewed into the butt, hips and knees. I bought the Jeans this winter and have been riding with them all summer. Pictures below. including jeans turned inside out...
that's definitly an improvement. I installed the Yamaha engine guards a year ago, and only afterwords saw that now prevents access to the oil filter. Such a pain!! Soon I plan on taking them off for good and replacing them with LSL frame sliders. I wouldnt recommend the yamaha version, but if...
Love my FZ6 but would be interesting what you find are the key differences / benefits with the 1 litre bike. I dont think I have seen this discussion on this FZ6 forum? Let us know what you think
I have rode Ninja's and own the FZ6. It may sound overly simple, but I believe that the key with the FZ6 is that its got a great sporty look, got lots of rpm's and power to enjoy, but it has more of an upright riding style which will save your body (and your wrists) for those long day tours or...

After purchasing the bike, I have spent the winter explaining to my wife the necessity of mods! I think she gets it!
Yea , thanks. that's the real issue I was trying to figure out, would a seat cowl mean that the tail bag would be sliding all over the place would I have to take the seat cowl off? or could I somehow make it work. Any other thoughts would be appreciated especially from riders who currently have...
Apologize if this question has been asked before......
But I am seriously thinking about ordering a Yamaha Seat Cowl for a 2008, but before I do I want to make sure you can still secure a soft aftermarket tail bag when the Seat Cowl is on. I assume you can just lay a thin rubber pad over it...
Recently installed Yamaha engine guards on a 2008 .......thought everything was perfect but now I find that for some reason the bottom brackets of the engine guards now prevent the center stand from rotating down all the way and therefore bike will no longer rotate up on center...
