Need some tire help, do I change both?

Well a friend had a rear tire blowout at 100km/h this weekend so I decided to go check out my Shinko 005's. The rear is DEFINITELY ready to be replaced but the front looks pretty decent. Im a little embarassed by my 2inch chicken strips still on the sides :spank: Do I need to change both right...

    T-Rex sliders arrived, problem?

It would probably have been faster just to go put the bolt in and see? if it only threads twice, get longer bolts. That is the issue with the interwebz; Not everyone knows what they're talking about when handing out advice..

FZ-8 Review in new Motorcyclist mag...

Up here, the FZ1 is $2700 more expensive than the FZ8 (which is $10.5) We are always more expensive than the states. In Australia it is selling for around 12... Its all proportional. Perhaps the magazine just misprinted/misinterpretted the price

FZ-8 Review in new Motorcyclist mag...

One thing id like to just point out: When factoring in price, there is no contest between the fz8 and fz6. the 6 will be a better buy everytime. But yamaha x'd the 6. Now its the FZ6R, which will appeal to most entry level riders. After that first year of riding when everyone gets that "need to...

    Mod it vs trade it?

Ill put in my own personal experience with this decision and hopefully you can take away from it something that will help. I really want a SS, gixxer 750. After a month of back and forth on it I finally decided to go for it. However, when trying to sell my FZ I found how much of a loss ($$) I...

This is ridiculous. Service bill from dealership.

Really hope you didnt end up at Blackfoot for this. by far, the most savage, bloodthirsty service department to ever walk the face of the planet. Ive got too many personal experiences to even begin writing them down here. Pulling the whole "refusing to pay the bill" thing doesnt work, they must...

    Trip Ideas

My sister bicycled around madagascar when she was 20 and absolutely loved it. Nothing bad to say, im assuming on a MC youd have so much extra time you could REALLY enjoy the scenery. This year me and a friend (he had his Vstrom 650) left calgary, headed north to prince george, then prince...

    Opinions of Speed & Strength

Its rare that cheap products actually live up to the bar set by far more expensive names. Thats not to say it cant been done, but having never even heard of S&S I cant provide any feedback regarding their quality. However, I would highly suggest raising your budget slightly and picking up...

    soft saddlebag support ideas

If you dont need the passenger pegs, i simply put them down, place as much of the bag on as I can, and run the rear strap through the hole in the bracket. the bracket holds the bag flush, while the peg holds the bottom up, and avoids and unsightly sagging.

    Off duty cop chased me

take it to court, show that you realized your own wrong doing and owned up to the consqequences by pullin gover when you didnt have to, and leaving work to go down to the police station yourself. judge will see this and most likely give you a $50 fine and a slap on the wrists (or in this...

    Federal Highway Admin. Motorcycle Survey

    FZ6 Fuel Economy

motorcycles are far more sensitive to driving habits than cars... I can get anywhere between 18mpg-~55mpg Usually closer to the lower one because i usually travel on the highway around 160kph-170kph (8-9000 rpm) and in the city i like to have an open throttle. If your a 60mph guy with a...
