You could offer the guys, that you didnt bring them to court if you get the difference money for a _new_ bike from then.
Dont know if that works or is a good idea, but at least a thing to think about.

Just keep in mind that helmets have different sizes.
I remember that I was NOT able to get 2 helments in my V46, if thats an information for you.

Got the 46+racks at eBay, but the blue was the 2005er blue (on ebay it looked like mine 2007er) and the rack were for 2005er,too. Didnt work with my 2007er bike. There not connected to the passenger rests. Only for picture.
So I sold the whole set for the same price at eBay again.

1. Kris80 is correct. SW-Motech removable side case holder is only fr >=2007 (S2) models.
2. For the V35 cases you need the PLX(!) versions of the holder, NOT the PL version. The PLX351 for 2004-2006 and the PLX360 for >=2007 (alternative here is SW-Motech holder)

Its no problem to mount it without topcase. There is a kit aviable from givi. Another possibility is the removable quick lock SW-Motech holder.

Sorry, cant help here, I just had it on one tour yet, and this was not representative regarding tire life or fuel consumation. But I still habe the set of Pilot Road 2 tires on my FZ6 I had on this tour. 12000km with these and counting. 2-5000km are still in until I have to change.
