Re: Selling mine - 2006 Red - 12,5xx miles
Pipes are sold. Bike is still available. Mileage is actually 11,5xx I made a mistake in the thread title. BTW - I bought a used bass boat with the proceeds from selling my bike (which is not sold yet - oops my bad). As a result, I am thinking about...
Wavex - I think the key to a successfull airbox mod is having the background and expertise of a heating and air conditioning technician. The guy who wrote the article you posted clearly lacks this vital experience so of course he cannot perform a successfull air box mod. ;)
FE Kit and Stebel air horn installed.
Has minor crack in fairing. Not very noticeable unless up close. Scuffed mirror and grab rail. All parts (including fairing) can be replaced on Ron Ayers for ~$500.
Asking $4,000. Also have nice set of stainless scorpions that are not currently on...
LOL! Trust me, anyone who has witnessed the pchbreeze airbox mod will beg you not to hurt your bike in this way.
Sorry Dude, but your bike kept stalling at idle. :spank:
BTW - I hope you finally decided to start wearing gear?
It's really just a rule to keep people from joining the forum only to try selling stuff. I am sure that is not the case with you. Just trying to enforce the rules that Admin has put into place. Glad you understand. Good to have you here. Welcome!
Thanks for all the details. Maybe I should buy dirtbike Tech 6's? Maybe my incident was low probability. I figure why not try to upgrade from an identified deficiency when I buy new boots. There is a cycle gear near me, but I don't think they carry Sidi boots. The web site doesn't list...
I can't imagine something getting a salvage title without some sort of structural damage, or at least enough non-structural damage to make repair cost more than the resale value.
But I'm no expert.
I have a Cargo "Endurance" magnetic tank bag. The magnets seem very strong, I have never worried about what I put in it and have never had any problems with mag strips or electronic devices.
Just a note, make sure you use the tether in addition to the magnets on these bags. When I crashed...
Sorry Zanch, forum rules state that you must be a member for at least 30 days before posting items for sale. As a result your post has been removed. I hope you understand and that this doesn't discourage you from participating in the forum.

Well thanks for taking the plunge (being the guinea pig) for the rest of us. Sounds like the new suits will be better so trying on one of the old ones might not give a fair assessment anyway. Hope it ends up being a great suit!
Yes the Stebel air horn! I got one after someone got on the two lane freeway, cut striaght from the on-ramp to the fast lane without looking (where I was waiting for her to do it of course). Laid on the stock horn, she didn't even hear it. Shucks, I could barely hear it!
Now I hit the horn...
Hey guys, I asked for some specific input in one of the boot threads regarding the rigidity of the Sidi B2 boots. Could those who own them please give me some feedback? The thread continued and everyone ignored my question. I am feeling really neglected and invisible. :( Poor me!
Anyway...
I had deep gouges in mine after lowsiding. I used sandpaper to remove them then feathered out with the rest of the mirror. I know it sounds bad, but you really can't tell until you get up pretty close.
My mirror backs are black plastic. Don't know if newer models are painted?
