The balaclava is a pretty hardcore solution. I'm liking the polar scarf idea.
Do the newer helmets come with some sort of solution for this cold problem. My HJC has a breath guard for anti-fogging (it helps, but not 100%).
How does this "chin guard" hook into the helmet?
It's been cold in the mornings (50 F or 10.0 C) lately. Riding into work, my chin and neck get pretty cold. How do you guys deal with this? Am I going to have to start wearing scarves? Suprisingly, my hands/fingers haven't felt any difference.
I got a Nelson-Rigg Deluxe All-season cover (Size Large - $48 shipped)
Nelson-Rigg Deluxe All-Season Cover : I want a motorcycle!
I need to get off my ass and take a picture of the cover on the bike. The size large covers the entire bike! If you have a trunk or saddle bags, I would...
2 of them settled within september. The third person JUST got past all the paperwork approval from the bank to sell a piece of property as a short sale. He will be going to settlement next week.

Come on Chicken Little. I personally know 3 people who are first time homebuyers buying foreclosed properties. If lending is so tight, how did they get the loans?
As far as I can tell, nothing has changed. The local stores are still running. My credit card still works. The economy doesn't...
Thanks for sharing your experience. Not only did you ride for the first time in the dark, but you rode in the worst of circumstances (wet roads + dark). Smart thinking to change up your route to be more visible, but it can also be dangerous if you're not familiar with the detour...
I dont know how many of you know this, but years ago (circa 2003) congress passed an act to INCREASE subprime loans so more Americans can have the "Dream".
Congress is a bunch of :Flip: idiots.
Alan Greenspan is a :Flip: idiot for keeping the interest rates so low for so long.
Had...
From what I understand, your canadian housing market is going boom very soon too.
I'm against the bailout- particularly CEOs/CFOs/etc who made off with a lot of salary for the past few years.
Unfortunately, all this falls back on dip**** Alan Greenspan. A big FU :Flip: Alan for your...
Glad you're okay. I can't imagine laying the bike down during rushhour.
It's going to be cheaper to get the scratched fairing part (called the mole) replaced. If you decide to repaint it factory red, the paint and bondo will cost more than a new stock part.
If you go black, well...
Rotella T - you guys are using wrong weight!
Well, the 2008 manual says to use 10w-30 or 20w-40 engine oil. I dont know if it's different for the other model years.
If it's the same for all the model years, then why are some of you comfortable with ignoring the yamaha engineer's...
I wish some of these dummy lever companies would realize they would sell a lot more levers if the prices were reasonable. Pazzo: $100 per lever? WTF? even at $75/lever, it's a little ridiculous. I would say $50/lever is the optimum point where their sales would skyrocket.
