I've been riding motorcycles of various types all my adult life. I can tell you one thing for certain. Riding wheelies is fun, but sooner or later you WILL go over. Thankfully, I learned my lesson years ago on my dirtbike. Much lower speeds and without cars to run over my stupid body.
Use to run the BT020's...now running BT016s. Posted on them just today. See here: http://www.600riders.com/forum/tire-tech-talk/9149-new-bridgestone-bt016.html#post110400
I've read a lot good on the BT021's and Pilot Road 2CTs if your looking more to the longevity side of things.
I love the bracket you fabricated. I did the same thing only ran mine to a switched 12V under the tank. I wanted it to turn off when I turned the key off. But I just neatly zip tied mine to the ignition switch. I need to find some nice sheet aluminum or stainless like you did. Thats...
Yep, It feels like I'm really hangin' it out there, then I see pics and video and realize....I need to hang it out more!!! I'm learning, that's for sure.
Hey crazybiker...I don't have any saddle time on the Conti's..But just did a quick write up on the BT-016's here: http://www.600riders.com/forum/tire-tech-talk/9149-new-bridgestone-bt016.html. I also got them from tiresunlimited. So far, I am VERY pleased.
Re: New Bridgestone BT016 - PICS and Video!
Well, I finally got some good time on my BT016s. I can't speak for the longevity of the tires yet. But they sure handle and stick better than my old BT020's. BT020's have the same compound as what is in the center of the BT021's, but the...
I have the same issue with my backpack I strap to the seat and my riding jacket. I really think it is due to the exhaust being up under the tail instead of out the side like most bikes. The air just swirls around behind us leaving the smell behind. Probably even worse being the passenger...
I couldn't survive without my tank bag! That tail pack looks great though. I've got a Cortech tailbag...but that one looks to be a little better quality.
Didn't see much information for these tires in my tire thread searches so I thought I'd post a bit about them.
The fronts are a two-compound tire and the rear is a triple compound tire.
According to Bridgestone they are between the BT002 and the BT021 as far as race vs performance. I ran...
I live in Wentzville (30min West of St. Louis) and just bought my FZ6...I'd join you, but not enough warning for me. Already have plans for this weekend. I have been on most of those roads in the past and are generally great roads. Best parts are down in South/West of Potosi, 21 is OK as...
