Awesome, Thanks. Just made the switch from my '07 FZ6 to an '06 FZ1 and needed a manual. Link is still good! THIS IS NOT A USA MANUAL, but bikes should be similar enough to use it for what i do...
Here's the microfiche for an '05 R6. It is not USD or radial mount...but that doesn't nec. mean it'll work...

From what I've read & experienced thru the years, it is most likely due to not having done the airbox mod. That mod made a HUGE difference in the performance of my bike. From what I've read, the bd killers are neglegible.
I'd due the airbox mod so-long-as you don't mind a little more noise...

I got my PCIII, but haven't had time to install it yet. :( I have a couple more questions.
Has anybody messed with the accelorator pump settings for the FZ? Have you even enabled this?
Do the maps control the ignition for the FZ's, or just the fuel? It looks...
nope...that didn't come with mine. I almost bought the quiet inserts to tone it down a little, but never did... I do need to repack one of these days though...
Cool. Thanks. I think the main difference then is that his is an '06 and mine's an '07. I think '07 was the first year for the sensor in the airbox wasn't it? I can't remember if it was '06 or '07
Do you know if he has a cat still? Maybe I should just PM him :D
Like the title says, I have a Power Commander III USB on its way to my house! Finally!?!
So, I'm looking for a tuned map that is up to date for my bike, or one very close to my set-up. Yes, I know it wn't be perfect unless I tune MY bike, but it'll hopefully get me closer than a...
I've got a PCIII on the way. I'm going to give your map a shot on my '07 with the same set-up as you.
Question: was this dyno tuned or one you played with?
Thanks, Ryan
Close enough for me! lol. I ran them 'til I saw metal once (didn't realize they were THAT low on tread), and that was too far. Slick!!!
Lookin' Good Waveex. That's how mine looked before I started commuting with them.
They don't make 'em like they used to, and the XR400 is surely how they used to make 'em. It is powerful like a tractor and requires very little maintenance compared to new bikes. I have it geared down for running the goat-trails in the NC mountains (1 tooth smaller in front and 2 more in rear)...
Thought I'd post some pics of my worn out BT-016's. They have 5,200 miles on them.

Rear:
notice the flat bottom on the "U" shape instead of being rounded... That sucked, worst of any tire I've run.
I got a killer deal on it. The only difference is that the fitting it rotated differently. I had to cut away a little bit of the underseat storage box, and the updated one fits without having to do that. But now with that little bit of box missing, you can see more of this great shock :D
Urgent Help!!!
OK... Turns out they aren't the "Diablo Strada's", but the regular "Diablo's". Any other thoughts? They're classified on Pirelli's site as "hypersport" instead of "street". Will I just get a few less miles on them?
Should I return them Monday instead of having them mounted &...
Thanks for all the feedback guys. I think I'm going to go ahead and pick up a set. For that price, it really can't hurt to try them...
Quick warm-up is important to me. I regularly ride below freezing temps, and am in the twisties running 70 after just a couple miles. The bike is garage kept...
Cycle Gear is closing out their Diablo Strada's for $220 a set! I think that's a great deal, and I've been reading quite a few good reviews of them on here.
I personally wanted to go with the Road 2's, but I'd be looking at another $100 or so. I do need tires within the next couple of months...
