My New Ride, how does it compare?

Some PIA moments this year. Went to go for a ride, found a screw in the back tire. I need a 46mm socket to get the rear tire off. Front tire needs a 22mm hex for the axle. Not easy tools to find and they are not in the bike kit... And, for the first time in my life, I dropped my bike in...

My New Ride, how does it compare?

I actually fit the soft bags on yesterday. Yeah, they do rest on the pipes a bit, but the pipes are CF and do not get hot, plus the bags have heat-shielding so I don't think it'll be a problem. I actually slid them back to the point they rest well on the passenger footpegs. Seem pretty stable...

My New Ride, how does it compare?

Haven't been in there yet, TBH I hope to avoid it. There are some things I know I'm going to have to go in for (valve adjustment come to mind) but the Triumph is really easy to maintain. I just went on a 5 hour ride yesterday. It was the first long ride on the Triple and it was a blast...

Someone recommend a point and shoot camera to me

Can't go wrong with Canon. Excellent optics, great processors, easy menus, and easy software. They make shooting great photos easy. I have had 4 Canons and 2 Nikons (which are also great quality), the only other brand I would consider is the Olympus for its rugged Tough cameras. Waterproof...

    B.S. Photo Shoot?

Not to steer this in another direction, but "legalize it!" Sick of this crap happening, sick of immigration problems, crime, and politics associated with the marijuana trade.

Freakin' steal! An awesome headlight with a proper HID install, and all the legwork to get this right. Someone's getting a good deal.

    Best Cities in the World

Oddly no. SLC is usually on some sort of top-ten list, but I guess not this one. Our air pollution is pretty bad in the winter lately.

    80/100w halogen upgrade

Not contentious, I'm glad to share what I have learned with others. I know it sounds good, and sometimes it even looks good, but there are so many things are wrong with sticking a "kit" in the reflector. Improper bulb alignment, large amounts of glare, perceived brightness leading to loss of...

    80/100w halogen upgrade

I'm always glad to hear people looking for alternatives to HID. I can't wait until that fad eventually dies, it's such a bad idea, As for 80/100, I ran one on the H4 side and did notice a VERY hot lens. However, I had no melted wires, no melted lenses, and no problems with charging. I also...

    POLL: Riding position: Feet/Legs

This. I find my riding positions change drastically depending on circumstance. For example, I am not putting my knee out on high-speed benders, I keep my body tight to the bike, keeping my body weight to the inside of the bike's centerline. I'm assuming you're asking about mid-speed turns...
