    Thanks for the reply, yes I thought about the harness pulling and possibly breaking the connection or worse, breaking one of the male connectors off the speedo..... But I am out of ideas of how to sort the issue for good!!!!?? I will be checking the ignition loom when I get chance as well

    Hi, i had this fault at the end of last year. i spent about two weeks trying to figure out what the problem was. In the end i narrowed it down to the ECU. A company called MotoMatrix sorted me a used reset ECU. I would highly recommend them. let me know if I can be of any other help. Alex

    As far as I can see there is no rust inside the actual tank it's just on the underside near the air filter and around the lower seam. I will post some pics tomorrow and see what you think. Thanks for the reply
