Been a little while since updated a post, been spending quite a bit of time out on Jessica now riding with a few mates and must say 100% i've made the right choice on bike for myself. Not telling you guys nothing new but these things are so forgiving and great to learn correct riding techniques...
Mate just my 2 cents worth also being new, I just come from a TTR250 road trail bike and my bike mechanic (family friend) was my first point of call for directions on an upgrade, Without hesitation he advised the FZ6 (not bad considering he's a Suzuki fan himself), says they are bullet proof...
Yeah just the feeling of new tyres has been a big confidence boost to my riding, even if it is just all in my head, its allowed me to think of my technique not the tyres when cornering.
I do come across tram and train tracks but not that often yet anyway.
I agree like most things these days...
Yeah I freaked out a little, the afternoon I bought it and picked it up I rode off from the seller with no sunnies on, stopped for fuel and put sunnies on to ride home and noticed display gone...... thought damn what's happened, what speed am I doing, what revs, what's this going to cost...
Was only just thinking today that I need to search this answer as my plan is that I wont ride in our Winter months so do I need to look into a float charger. Cheers.
Been doing the sunnies thing but I've either got to replace my sunnies or the visor as my sunnies are Oakley polarised and they actually make the lcd dash appear blank when I look at it unless I look down under my sunnies. Apparently its the Polarised coat that creates the issue.
I picked mine up in Dec 13 here in South Australia for $3700 from a private sale, 04 Naked, had 3 month registration left and only required new tyres in the near future. Very happy with my deal.
Just scrubbed in my new Pirelli Angel GT's but appears latest bike magazine review voted them as best milage for 2013, not that that had any input on my purchase choice. I run Pirelli on the cars and very happy so figured try on the bike too.
I just changed my tyres on the bike I've recently purchased, didn't know the tyre history but the shop said i'd still get a few 1000k's out of them, but then i pointed out they had the DOM stamp as 1305 meaning tyres were almost 9 years old. Funny thing was one of the 2 sales men said he'd still...
I was thinking the rims polished or chrome dipped would look awesome. What exactly did you do Mick? Mate we gotta catch up for a ride so i can suss out all your've done :)
I just picked up a set of paddock stands and as i have the 04 naked with no centre stand i found easier to put bike on the side stand with a block of timber under the stands foot to keep the bike just off of true vertical and then the paddock stand lifts the rear so easily on my own. Mind you...
I'm riding with the stock 04 fz6n chrome mirrors and must say the view of my jacket is awesome, the view of whats actually behind me is non existent. Thinking some sort of bar end mirror or the latest of the Xj6 maybe.
