    Beowulf (2007)

We're using an online DVD website to rent movies. Whatever is on your list, they will mail it to you once it comes around and Beowulf was sent to us. Unlike what it looked like in theatre trailers, Beowulf is actually a fully CG movie. The actor's faces are scanned into the computer. When...

    Alpinestars sizing charts are useless

Most of us who has shopped enough would understand that one company's size L, maybe another company's M. However, the last thing that anybody would expect is the sizing within one company's jacket size will be different from another. Example: If you fit an Alpinestar textile jacket...

Fuel loss when tank is lifted on hinge?

Hi everyone, I was finishing my winter storage procedure and the last thing I had to do was remove the battery (there’s no power outlet where the bike is being stored.) My gas tank was full and was combined with fuel stabilizer before I started removing the battery. To get to the battery...

Portable Manual Air Pump: Topeak Road Morph with gauge

The reason: In riding school, we’re taught to check “cold” tire pressure in the morning. If a bike is ridden to the gas station air pump, the tire will warm up and the pressure reading would be incorrect. It would take 3 hours for the tire to cool down before you can check pressure again...

Fall is here! Leaves are wet!!!

Fall is one of the nicer looking seasons in my opinion. Leaves change colour, cooler weather, but like other debris on the road, watch out for leaves. They're extra slippery in the morning due to condensation and I put my left foot on a few while stopping. I slide forward and luckily didn't fall.

    Unfriendly Motorcyclists

Hi fellow FZ6ers, Ever get snubbed by another motorcyclist? With BMW riders in particular? My rides mostly consist of commuting to work, often in heavy traffic. Anyway, it’s happened more than once. I’m in the left third and another motorcyclist would sneek up behind me while I’m stuck...

Don't remove protective pads if it's velcro adjusted

Hi, It's a minor problem but an irritating one and maybe distracting while you’re riding. I have 2 riding jackets. The protection is built in on both of them. My first jacket has mesh pockets to keep them in place. My other jacket uses a Velcro system for the shoulder and elbows to keep...

Red FZ6 spotted in Montreal, PQ tunnel, was it you?

Hi fellow Montrealers and visiting FZ6 riders, I know there are many FZ6 sold in any given area, but on this forum, there's only about 6 of us from the Montréal, Québec region. Just my curiosity: I was traveling west bound in the Ville-Marie Tunnel. Aug 27, 2008 around 7h45. Left lane...

    Gas station issues, helmet off?

Hi, I'm wonder if anybody has this problem: When I go fill up my car at the gas station, pull in next to a pump, get out, put the nozzle to the gas tank, swipe my prepay key, then select the octane and start pumping, no problem here. When go fill up my bike, I get off my bike, keep my...

Where do you get your bike serviced?

Hi anyone, I was wondering where you get your bike serviced in the Montreal area. Since I got my bike at Newman, I was thinking about bringing it back there to get a tune-up/ oil change, etc. But I recall some of the stories some of you have regarding that place. Where do you send your...
