whoa, this thread is old :cheer:
Anyways, I did end up selling my FZ6 and buying a FJR.
You can read my comparison here:

Ok, sorry about not mentioning a price. And yes, this thread is 3 years old, but I still have the screen lying around.
How about 45 euros? (36 british pounds).
Thanks.
I would have to say no. Although the FZ6 was my first bike and will always hold a very special place in my heart, I wouldn't trade my FJR1300 back for it...
Sounds like a great trip. I'll be riding the Alps myself later this year, and if you're a TopGear fan, you'll know one of the best driving roads is Davos (Switserland) to Stelvio (Italy). You could do it in reversed order of course. Just google Davos to Stelvio for more info! Good luck and have fun!
Re: UK trip from continental Europe, September 9/10/11, 2011
Hey Martin,
I just now stumbled upon this thread. I'll be keeping an eye on it, cuz it sure looks tempting (as long as you wouldn't mind having a FJR rider on board :) ) I'll let you guys work out the date, and then I'll see if I can...
I'm planning on doing the Stelvio pass next summer. But I just found out about this one:
48 kilometers of pure driving pleasure - Grossglockner High Alpine Road
I'm there!!
check this link, and look for the 2007 revisision: Yamaha FZ6 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A whole bunch of changes which make the 2008 the right choice. I spent the extra dough on a new one even...
damn boy, that is one sweet bike, love it! I'm 6'3 and I'm afraid the Triumph will be too small for me, but I secretly keep dreaming about adding one just like that to my garage. Wonderful thing, keep us posted as you grow on her.
