    It finally happened, 110,000 miles.

111, 207, dang, I need to catch up! I plan on riding this one until it completely dies.

    It finally happened, 110,000 miles.

I think it was around 108,000 give or take a few thousand.

    It finally happened, 110,000 miles.

I used a endoscope a few months ago and the cylinder walls still look good. I'ved used (gasp) Rotella oil ever since the first oil change.

    It finally happened, 110,000 miles.

I changed the tensioner at about 108,000 miles. The cam chain is the original. Surprisingly there are no unusual noises coming from the engine.

    It finally happened, 110,000 miles.

It used to be weekend trips everywhere, Deals Gap, Texas, Kentucky, North Carolina, and all over the southeast. Now it is mostly daily commute of 100 miles a day.

Hey motojoe, Is that a 378 in one of your pics?

    It finally happened, 110,000 miles.

I've out of the forum for a while but I've come back briefly. My trusty and crusty 2006 has finally hit the 110,000 mile mark. The only major item done was a timing chain tensioner. No valve clearance checks and I still get about 40-50mpg. Heck, even the clutch is still the original along with...

    Miles???

2006, 104,000 miles. No major engine work. I just replaced the timing chain tensioner.

    100,000 miles

I'll see what I can do in the next couple of days. It has been sitting all weekend so that should be good.

    100,000 miles

Just measured the front springs. Everything is still well within spec. I do think it is time to replace the rear shock though.

    100,000 miles

Yep, foolish. And I caught hell for it too. Fiancee and daughter got on to me about that.

    100,000 miles

Routine is about right. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. But I tend to push things a bit too far sometimes. I just like to see how far, how long, or what every something will last. Since it made it this far, I will be getting inside the engine to take care of some minor things. As for my...

    100,000 miles

Now that you mention it, once I have the brakes rebuilt on the '80 CB750F SS, I should park the FZ6 and open it up and see what type of wear the timing chain and associated parts look like.

    100,000 miles

I replaced the plugs at about 30,000 miles. No valve check. I wanted to see how long I could go without opening up the engine.

    100,000 miles

Working and working and riding. My right front fork seal started weeping a few months ago. The timing chain rattles a bit but not enough to cause me any concern. I still have the original rear brake pads. I think I'm on my third or fourth set of front pads.

    100,000 miles

I've used ROTELLA since I bought the bike. The only smoking it does is when it starts up. After that I have not noticed any oil consumption at all. I've been changing the oil between 3,000 and 4,000 miles. Occasionally I'll stretch it out to 5,000 miles. Once I pass this milestone I'm going...

    100,000 miles

I expect to reach 100,000 miles on my trusty 2006 FZ6 sometime tomorrow evening. I bought it on 22MAY2006 with one mile on the odometer. I've never been inside the engine. Everything is still original with the exception of the fluids. Even the clutch is original. Nothing special has been...

    Bike does not start

If the noise you hear is a clicking, it very well could be the battery has been discharged (dead battery). Do you have a multimeter handy? If so, what is the battery voltage?
