This thread has captured my interest. On a side note, does advancing the timing have any adverse effect on engine longevity? My grandpa always said the brightest bulb burns out the fastest. Just wondering if that applies in this situation.

I raced a 2009 ZX-6R for a couple of passes at the local drag strip. We were doing 1/8 mile drags and I got him every time. On the 1/4 mile though, I think he would have pulled ahead due to more HP and taller gears. I no longer have the time slips, but I'll be doing it again next...

If the tire still has plenty of tread left, I wouldn't hesitate to remove the tire and properly patch it from the inside. IMHO, I would not feel comfortable using a plug on a motorcycle tire. I'm sure it's been done in the past, but not this hombre.

I change my oil once per season which is usually right around 3,000 miles. I use 10w-40 Amsoil full synthetic and replace the filter everytime.
