You're correct that you're going through five gears. Since you start in 1st, you'll shift five times to reach 6th.

Once I get back from Laguna Seca, I'll probably paint the fork, rearsets, and exhaust cover satin black to match the radiator side guards and brakets. I might get the Two Bros exhaust at some point too.

Don't feel bad dude, I did the exact same thing when I was hooking up my demon fairing. The blinkers worked, so I assumed the headlight would too. Once I started it the engine itself it was like, "Hey there's the light. I'm an idiot." Good luck. :thumbup:

Pure pimpness! Me likey. I just finished mine yesterday too. But I'm a doof, and didn't take any pictures. I will today though. But my bike has way cooler custom scratches on the clutch cover.

I really like that last option, although I voted for "every time".

Update: Okay, the speedo has been mounted. Can't see them from the pics, but I did paint the radiator gaurds satin black. Got the wiring tested. Just have to clean it up a bit. Got plenty of e-tape and zip ties for that. All that's really left is to actually mount the demon fairing. Still...

That's pretty clever there! I biased mine to the left though. I have the exact same bar clamps, (I guess we both took Wavex's advice) Either way, lookin' good man, lookin' good! I hope to have mine completely done sometime this week.

In my opinion, the dual setup reminds me of British bikes. Where the mini fairing reminds me more of customs. Either way, you're going naked with an FZ6. Thus, there is no wrong answer. Good luck and keep us posted.

Hmm, very interesting. I received my new mirrors yesterday, and am also waiting for 7/8ths clamps for my speedo. And my bike is blue. We must be alternate universe twins. :thumbup: Anyway, lookin' good man. Can't wait to see the final shots.
