If I planned on trying to ride this winter, I'd drop the money on heated grips and gear, but riding in snow just doesnt appeal to me. 40 is my cut off point. Gunna get one more quick ride in then stick it in the hangar for the winter.
Not BS, completely true. While I'm stopped, I lean over, reach around and grab on to a header for a few seconds. If I had ape arms, I could do both hands at the same time, but alas I just do one hand at a time. I have thick leather riding gloves with palm pads and take my hand off as soon as I...
Its getting colder, but I have yet to put her down for the winter. In order to give my hands some brief moments of heat in these 40 degree rides, I've resorted to reaching down and grabbing a hold of the exhaust headers while I'm stopped at the lights.......ahhhhh warmth, even if its fleeting...
With country wide in WI, I am paying $198 a year, full coverage 300/500/500 limits, $500 dedct. Clean driving record (at least it was until september), 32, married, homeowner and good credit. For those that have the option of roadside assistance, I highly recommend it. I have used it several...
Bambi picked a really bad time to cross the road. Looked like a yearling, just imagine what kind of damage a 200lb buck could have done. The big brown fur cloud at spot of impact was pretty neat. Hope the guy wasnt too dinged up, looked like he had all his gear on.
Gotta avoid the paint and tar, be very careful around the stuff on the highway if its slick out, rain, drizzle, frost, dew ect...ect....I've slid a few times trying to change lanes.
I've given up on having any fun on roundabouts. Was going slow thru the same one again this morning and had both tires slide. Was only doing 25. I give up, damn things are slicker than a greased pig.
sorry to hear about ur crash, glad it was a minor one. I was down there 2 weeks ago and nearly got bit by the dragon myself. it was at about mile 2 eastbound with a hard decreasing radius turn. I committed the sin of crossing the double line. thankfully it was early in the morning and i was the...
Rode the same roundabout the next day, sure enough right about the spot my front tire started sliding there was a nice greasy oil slick. I'm very lucky my rear tire didnt slide out on me as well.
I was on my way home last night and having a little fun with an R6 that was along side me. We came up to a roundabout and I decided I was going to hit it hard. I threw the bike over to the right to enter the turn, snapped it back over the the left before the apex of the turn and leaned it over...
My son is 6 and absolutely loves riding with me. He always wears his helmet and I ride like an old lady when he's on the back. My 2 year old desperately wants to ride, but he only gets rides in the driveway.
I'm gunna agree with Erci. The last thing you want to do in a turn is jab on the front brake. Start braking with the rear brake. This will do three things, 1. start to slow the bike 2. start to straighten up the bike 3. start to transfer weight to the front wheel. If rear brake is not going to...
