GPS RAM Mount + 10% discount code!!

I used a Ram mount and stuck it dead centre on my FZ6. Fits in there perfectly. Ordered mine from Lido Mounts, part # LM-1000. Not sure why you guys needed to use that U-bolt (doesn't that wreck your paint?) but mine came with a rubber strip and clip that screwed tight. My only complaint...

    2005 Complete silver/black fairing.

The FZ6 is completely identical (except for colour) for years 2004 2005 and 2006. It'll fit. :D

Bi-xenon H4 HID bulbs in BOTH headlamps?

Bringing a thread out of hibernation here. :D In terms of a bi-xenon H4 setup, there are 2 ways to do this: a) use an H4 kit that places the bulb arc in the Hi position, with a shutter to create lo-beam (not sure if our reflectors are designed to give a proper cutoff in this configuration...

How many people here are pilots?

Expired licenses, but I had one for Private Pilot, and one for Glider Pilot. I'm in Canada. Glider: Schweizer 2-33A Airplane: Cessna 152, 172 Cost: Free, courtesy of Royal Canadian Air Cadets :D (Canadian equivalent of Civil Air Patrol for you Yanks) Flying was pretty neat, but...

    No helmet lock???

Hey guys, Just found a solution to this problem. Motion Pro Helmet Locks I bought 2 Chrome 1" locks using the same key (MotionPro will do it if you ask), and bolted them to that thick bar where the passenger footpeg is located. 1 per side, for me and my passenger :) Problem solved! :D

Acuman Digi Gear - Easy Mod

Re: Check this out!!! Just did this mod on my 2004 FZ6. Thanks to Jonac for putting these instructions online! Saved me a ton of trouble. The work probably took about 3-4h. Instead of stripping the wires, I just used the soldering iron to melt away part of the sheath, then solder the...

    HID (high intensity discharge) anyone?

Bought a H7 aftermarket kit for the left side (which is Low only), got it installed professionally. Also did the dual-bulb mod, so my right side is Halogen high/low so one can still flash slow-moving people :D Anyone who has used HID knows that once you do it, you don't go back. IMO the...

Mirrors - which other bikes use same ones?

Hi all, I'm wondering if anyone knows what other bikes use the same mirrors (in terms of glass shape) as the 2004-2006 FZ6. For example, the 2005-2008 Kawasaki ZX-6R uses the same shaped-glass (but with a slight tint) and housings. I'm thinking of replacing the mirrors with a tinted set...

    Mirror glare

Having the same problem as you bro. I noticed that the Kawasaki ZX-6R 2004-2008 (and possibly other models) have the exact same mirrors + housings as we do, but with TINT. I'm scouring Ebay for a cheap set, just going to switch out the glass :)

    Mirror glass removal?

It's NOT glued in. I've cut the housing open on the ZX-6R mirror. They just pop it in during assembly. The mirror is held in place by a ridge of plastic that runs along the outer edge. Try bending the edge on your FZ6 mirror (at the very top or very bottom, ie in the middle of the "long"...

    Mirror glass removal?

Hi all, I recently got my hands on a set of Kawasaki ZX-6R mirrors. In terms of shape and housing, they're 100% identical to the FZ6 mirrors, with one major exception: they have this really blue tint like you see on BMW cars. Anyone know how to safely remove the mirror glass from the...

Upshifting from 1st to 2nd gear

2nd gear is useful for pulling from a stop more smoothly. If I find myself in 1st though, I just skip to 3rd. Hell, I skip to 5th as well. Kinda wish they spread out the gears more.

    OMG!!! U gotta see this

Almost got run off the road twice already (including one van on the wrong side of the highway), and I've only been riding for 1.5 months. Buddy up there is right. Late at night there's much less traffic, but a much larger percentage of whatever vehicles out there consist of a) drunk drivers...
