Thanks again for your replies, guys!
I did the load test Townsend. While cranking the lowest voltage I saw was 10.6v
I also checked connection on the regulator/rectifier, thanks Motogiro. I don't know why I always forget to check the simple stuff first on bikes.
It's definitely over-volting. I...
Thank you all for the replies!
I made some progress but I think I will need to take it all part and do some more testing when I have some more time.
The insulator was not caught in the connection and connections were tight.
I tested voltages
Cold Engine: 12.5 - 12.79v
Idle: 13.6 -...
I have a strange problem occurring on my bike.
For about a month now my check-engine light has been coming on. At first it would only come on for a few seconds when travelling at highway speeds. These days it comes on most times I ride. The bike's performance remains the same it has always...
My problem continues. I'll give a quick run-down on what I've already done/tested.
Error code 19 persists. It is intermittent. I can always get the bike started given enough tries. It usually takes 3-5 tries now. I have had the bike shut off while in motion twice so far. Both times occurred...
Hi guys,
For the past few weeks I've been having some starting issues with my bike. It's error code 19. I've already removed, cleaned, and continuity tested my side stand switch. My next step is to test my starting circuit cut-off relay. However, since my electrical knowledge is limited, I want...
I've had a Shoei RF-1000 for about 5 years. I went to Cyclegear today to try on some new helmets. I've been planning to get a new one sometime near the end of the year, waiting for prices to drop a little on the newest Shoei lineup. Specifically I went to try on the RF-1200, Qwest, and GT-Air. I...
SOLD
Hello there!
I have a 2009 Ninja 250r in Black for sale - $2600. It has 13,835 miles currently. Title in hand.
I am the second owner of the bike. First owner sold it at about 2000 miles and kept it in mint condition. I have kept up with the maintenance and the bike is in perfect running...
I rode about 650 miles yesterday with the fz6r bars. No wrist pain aside from fingers getting stiff. I had a cramp buster but it was only useful for a few seconds at a time to rest my fingers because it's hard to keep it from slipping around. I will be doing the same ride backwards again on...
I can confirm what kilgore said. Hole is already present on the FZ6R bar. Swap was quite easy. My only issue was I twice tightened down the clamp before I had gotten all the controls on both sides. I don't know what I was thinking. Everything feels a lot better already I just need to adjust the...
Ah that's true about the consistent fitment. I didn't think about that. In that case I guess I'll just cut it off since drilling adds quite a bit of time for me.
Yea I've seen that method but I'd rather keep it as stock as possible. I can drill it if necessary but it just means I will have to go buy the drill bits beforehand because I don't have any other transportation to go to a store once the bars are off.
I just got an FZ6R handlebar to put on and after reading other threads with FZ1 bars, renthals, etc most people seemed to need a new hole drilled for the throttle mount. Is this necessary on the FZ6R bars or is the hole that is already there in the correct spot?
One thing I've noticed since switching from my Ninja 250 to my FZ6 with Puig Racing screen is that I get a lot more stuff stuck in my eye. All I can guess is that dirt and stuff is getting pushed right up in to my face whereas before it would hit more near my chest.
Also, I know how you feel...
