    Riding at high temperature

hah.....I was planning a trip to turkey but eventually postponed it because I thought it would be too much trouble in mid summer and 40 C...... at 50-60C I wouldn't worry so much about the bike as of personal health. I overheated once in strong sun and I don't recommend it. I don't like to say...

9000km trip planned - can anyone relate?

How do you protect a laptop from rain etc? I brought a Macbook Air 11" and on two occasions it stopped working because of rainy weather. Apparantly it's very sensitive for humidity levels. The battery shortcircuited and then it took three weeks before it dried up and functioned as normal again...

Make sure the tires and brakes are relatively new so that you don't have to change them mid way. Schedule some resting days with good sleep, food and recovery.

Where you stayed with your bike, Accommodation In Europe.

The campsites south of Split, Croatia. They all lie within a hundred meters from the beach and usually there are a few restaurants to go with them. These are relaxed, quiet places and relatively inexpensive, in comparison to the busy tourist spots you find in the cities or at the italian side.

    Sat Nav

For cars a touchscreen gps works well but with motorcycles it's usually more practical with buttons.

    Sat Nav

I use a Garmin eTrex 20. It runs on two R6 batteries = no wiring. And it's fastened with electrical tape = no expensive mount.

    red key

if you would lose the ordinary keys, can you use the red one until you fix a new one? I know you shouldn't, but it's good to know if it works to start and be able to drive the bike.

I think that's illegal to modify a helmet because of insurance issues.
