Dog Whisperer. Book and TV series (National Geographic). Great stuff. MANDATORY if you've never had a dog before. No kidding.

We'll check it out, thank you. He seems to be progressing very quickly and learning about who we are. I was even able to let him walk around leashless tonight and he didn't really wander.. I am so proud of our little boy!

He is very cute. You can see how happy he is already. We drove to Buffalo NY to pick up our Boxer, and he sat on our son's lap the entire ride home and has slept in our bed every night since.. they are cuddlers. I am definitely thinking boxer/american bull terrier mix. Boxers are really smart. I taught Diesel 'Coffee time' it is the cutest thing.. I'd get up in the morning and make coffee, and when it was done, I'd send him in to wake up my husband.. he'd jump up on the bed and wiggle his butt and lick his face.. it was adorable.. also, he gives me hugs. Sorry this is your special time.. I just love our dogs(babies).

Enjoy!

What a great looking dog! Congrats!

I think Rob is hairier than the dog though....

I see Office Space on the shelf and look at all the Disney movies! ;)

He's even more cute in those pics!!!!

Is that a bark collar or a manual shock collar? Man, those things work wonders. (well most of the time)

When Hooch (120lb. bull mastiff/pit) was alive, I spent $150 on a shock collar for him and there was a dog that put his nose through the chain link and Hooch tried to bite the other dog.....I shocked him and he didn't even flinch....I turned it up all the way to 10 and was like wtf??? he doesn't even care, wasn't even sure it was working, but oh boy it was, I could here the "ticking." Finally, he calmed down enough to where he could feel it and he just put his head down and walked away. :( Aww...I miss my puppy.

Anyways....he looks like a great dog and I'm happy for you guys.

yes, I saw that too, and the movies are alphabetized.

I don't know if it is sadder that I did it, or that you noticed in a picture of a cute dog!

It is a manual shock collar, because he doesn't really bark. He's a whimperer, though, and is pretty darn intrigued with the cats. He's got a training harness for walks and the collar for around the house, and we have heard good things about it from a few people. It has a tone function, too, so we don't have to shock him (he actually reacts really well to the tone). We're just trying to get him well-socialized since we do a lot of things with other people, other dogs, and cats. We do need to get him an invisible fence collar,t hough, so when we go to visit our friends who have them, he can just be let loose.

Well I probably noticed because you have alot of the same movies as we do.. and they are in the same order as I have ours in. Reese is incredibly cute!

thank you, we are very happy with him and he is already settling in and getting to be more and more well behaved, I am truly surprised at the progress he has made in just the past 2 days, and he was a good dog to start with and turning into a great dog very quickly.
