I watched this video almost three years ago. This is one of the major reasons I carry on the bike. These people are out there.

NSFW Language.

I've seen this before. Only a guy packing would lead rednecks out to a dead-end road. But he took a chance that the rednecks weren't packing themselves.

Not packing, I'd just find a cop or drive to the Police station.

So basicly from what the idiots in the truck were saying the man would of been beaten with a bat, the woman more than likely raped. I do not know that for sure, but the odds were very good that situation would of ended that way. Get your CCDW. You more than likely will never need it. If you do need it, and you dont have it.....

The man in the car tried to get away. He tried to turn around. When he was corner he still excersied tremendous restraint. The man with the bat could of recieved two to center mass, and died right there on the side of the road. No jury in my state would of convicted him of any wrong doing.

How many times does this scenario play out where the woman is alone in her car never to be seen alive again? Ladies each one of you that gets your CCDW lower the risk for all the others. Criminals just hate it when they make a error in the victum selection process.

Wow that is not anywhere near at all what I saw. I really do not believe he lead them anywhere.

that could have gone really bad

EDIT - I was thinking he led them there as well...dead end road and then turns around and drives away? he obviously had a plan when he pulled over, no?

Well, I say this Steve because he was leading and they were following. He had the option of leading them to a LEO or a police station or just driving until he found a cop. Instead, he chose to take them down a path where it was devoid of all public eyes then draw a weapon on them. What if those to clowns had jumped out with a gun each and gave him a double-tap, then raped the girl?

I just feel he could have avoided all of it, but then again, I'm a more passive than agressive guy. Most things can be settled over a cup of coffee but not likely this situation. The Police are going to be your best bet.

He turned repeatedly to get away from them. I dont see it as leading anyone. Lets just say he did know the roads there like the back of his hand, he knew that was a dead end, and lead the idiots down there. Why? If so that would have to be the perfect storm of asshattery. What are the odds of two guys deciding to harrass someone, videotape it, follow thru multiple turns, and then follow some guy that wanted to play internet badass down a road he knew was a dead end where he had planned to stop and then pull out a gun and take thier camera, on his birthday?

Again back to the he turned multiple times. From the way he was driving down that road, and the type of car he was driving, I do not think it was his intention to end up on a gravel road with a dead end. Maybe I just see things differently.

I know I for one would not intentionally corner myself. I dont know anyone that would do that just so they could pull out their gun. Thats absolute insanity.

Steve, you do know this is a fake video, right? I "honestly" thought you were just pulling our leg with the seriousness of it all so I played along... ;)

This is the link displayed in the beginning of the video... Are the Videos Fake???

The video could have been fake....and the gun could have been fake as well. The guy with the gun should have given a warning shot to show that the gun was real. Otherwise, we will never know.

He should not have fired a warning shot. The only time you should ever fire a shot is when you need to stop the threat.

Did you visit the site in the video? This is old stuff here... no surprises. ;)

better to have and not need than to need and not have...

but there are a lot of situations where bringing guns into the equation itself was the act that escalated the situation into violence. this wasnt one of em, but there are a lot of goofs out there who arent responsible enough to calm themselves when angry and having a gun is bad there.

that said, i would carry a gun myself if i lived in the states. you guys have a lot of nutters down there. also im brown so might get confused for an iraqi....even tho im a canadian born sikh who's parents are from india...glock 9mm FTW!!!

Wow ...amazing how the cameraman keeps all the people in frame, the white balance is perfect, and the camera follows the guy searching for the bat and keeps his friend in frame then he talks...also women dont stay that calm during something like this.

Well now I feel like a dip****. Oh well. I followed the link. It was presented as true the first time I saw it. I took it at face value.

FWIW, when I first saw this some time ago, I also thought it was real. After watching a couple times, I questioned it... then I finally went to the link in the video and read the guy's message. Doh!

Still not bad for some goofs though...

It's an interesting scenario. Not sure it matters or even valid, but the author claims it's a stunt:

Are the Videos Fake???

... and the hicks are driving a Tundra? C'mon, it's a dead give away. Heh.

(Edited - Oops, FZ6inNH beat me to it!)

heheh... yeah the Toyota emblem on the steering wheel got me too. Ford? Chevy? Dodge? Ok, that could be legit. --- Toyota? nahhhhh. ;)

Actually, I have no idea if the video would have looked fake to me. I read the posts about it being staged before I watched it. I bet I woulda bought it though.
