So I posted that I came back to riding after being off for a couple of years with an MT-07. Love that bike!.. but need something more gravel/dirt friendly, so the MT-07 got a big sister now. My friends were like "oh.. a blue Yamaha.. what a surprise!" ft1.webpIMG_E7321.webp:cool:

Congratulations Erci. So many great reviews on the 700! I believe that's the same motor as the cross plane twin in the MT07
I have a question about that cool old Fire truck. It says Pittsford Fire Dept. but is also has Ocean Grove, N.J. in gold leaf.
I remember Ocean Grove was that little town just south of Asbury Park, N,J, and they used to close that town so you couldn't drive in or out with your car on Sundays. I think it was a law that was developed from some early religious law in the old days but eventually they changed and allowed cars again.
Again, congratulations on the new Tenere!

Thanks! Yup! Same motor in those bikes. Big part of the reason I went with the Tenere over other options.. that engine is outstanding! Good catch @ fire truck! Pretty sure the story is that it was originally used in NJ and then came over to VT. Much less funding here in VT, so 2nd hand stuff makes sense for official use. Cool about the NJ town.. I had no idea!
