Fatal motorcycle wreck (pics)

Ah man seriously...those images are real. I've seen enough dead bodies in my life to instantly know that those are far from fake.

Why do you think they have been fabricated?

Tulsa - A Broken Arrow man was killed early Tuesday morning after a motorcycle accident on Highway 169 near 81st Street.

Witnesses say the cyclist was going faster than 100 miles per hour when he crashed into the back of a semi truck between 81st and 91st Street at about one o'clock Tuesday morning.

Investigators say evidence shows the cyclist was going about 120 miles per hour at the time of the impact. It took the truck driver more than a quarter of a mile to come to a stop. When he did, he stepped out of his rig and found the motorcyclist dead at the back of the truck.

"The truck driver was not hurt," says Captain Matt Kirkland "He said that the impact was so strong that he thought he was hit from behind by another truck."

Officers said there was no indication that drugs or alcohol played a factor in the accident.

Another reality check to us all. Fake or otherwise. I personally feel thay are real. Poor sod, poor family. RIP
 
The only thing that I can't get my head around is. Why did the emergency services leave him hanging there? I have a lot of emergency care experience and the first thing I would have wanted to do an arrival is get him out and check for signs of life? It would be very difficult to do that in his present position.

First point of call at a scene is to access the scene and then tend to the injured...of course the first thing you check for would be an airway, with the position he's in..the airway is open. Breathing...only way to check this would be chest and then circulation by checking the carotid pulse which is in clear view.

Anyways...it would be obvious at this stage that the person was dead, considering the force that it would have taken to beat in a door panel like that it would have been my first assumption. Even if he were alive, they wouldn't move him straight away, not any good if you have a broken neck!

I'm sure they had their reasons why they didn't move him...and sure we dont know when the pictures were taken...it could have been right after he was pronounced dead.

RIP again to the poor guy.

I agree with most of what you have said. However, the chin strap is definitely restricting his airway. ABC. Paramedics over hear can only assume death in Decapitation, rigamortis, decomposition and confirmed asystole. Not just the absence of a carotid pulse, which may only indicate that BP is less than 70 systolic. However I agree mechanism of injury says it all. I was just curious to why he was not moved. Unless the press got there first?

What, if anything, does an interest in how fast the FZ6 will go have to do with this crash? Granted, the rider was going way beyond the speed limit but one thing is for certain, he wasn't doing it in a manner that could even be remotely considered safe.

Now, I can't speak for others but I dang sure didn't buy my FZ6 to go the speed limit.
 
just in case anybody's wondering where the pics are, I deleted them. They were graphic and very disturbing. :thumbup:
 
Sure its alright...its an old story. They're not that disturbing...just unbelievably eery. If someone really want to see those images go back to the original post to this thread, copy the text, go to google and paste it into a search and you'll get the result first time.
 
I know it's an old thread, but someone *bumped* it today and with the new rules, I had to delete it. Just trying to clean it up. :thumbup:
 
Strangely enough I did not see the photos. So with your permission can access be granted?

I posted another thread in the Bar section titled: "background people ruin photos" it was also mysteriously deleted. Hmmmm. Big Brother is watching eh? :D

Anyway if anyone cares for a good laugh to lift their spirits after reading about this misfortunate accident, Google "background people ruin photos"
