A lot of agencies aren't doing their homework first and finding out that Kawasaki isn't warrantying the bikes after being modified into police bikes as they didn't design the bikes to be police bikes. So agencies are purchasing brand new bikes without factory warranties, getting burned when they take them in for work. Some have already ditched their C14's and gone back to BMW.

Interesting. I'm still seeing mainly BMWs around. I thought police bikes were special versions supplied by a manufacturer under contract after a bidding process. Crazy situation.

I saw some great classic cars at the weekend at a nuclear power station in Dungeness, Kent, England - more on the flickr account.
They was all from Belgium on a rally around Kent for a few days. They were all in really good condition.

Took another stab at night shots... Its fun to play but nothing to write home about. What I can't tell is if the building we're on is moving or me backing away made the lens move - timer was used so I could back away but still got fuzzy...

Just happened to be some fireworks a LONG ways out there...

Great effort really...... The aperture can have a HUGE affect on the results of night shots to, try finding the lenses 'sweet' spot & base all images around that :thumbup: Also, if you are using a UV filter on your lens, take it off at night

Yer on it bro!! UV filter in place = fail! lol Forgot all about that! Maybe that will get the colors in line and bring back the flare to the lights near by.

No worries mate, glad to help :thumbup: Also forgot to mention, if you have it on a tripod turn the image stabilizer OFF

20+ seconds of hang time so, Tripod = yes! But Neither the lens or the body have image stabilization. Used timer delay to allow me to step away but many of the photos show movement as if the floor we were on was moving which it may be?! My son was 6 feet away taking shots too. He's Canon gave a much more pleasing results. Hardware is about 10 years newer.

We had a thunderstorm roll through last night. My wife made me come in when the lightning was getting real close otherwise I would have had more.
