Something Seriously Wrong?

Hi Guys,

I think I've got a big problem,

I am loosing a lot of power in my revs, for example at 9 thousand revs it will feel like it pulling at 4 thousand. And then it will some how, it finds the power and accelerates it to where it should be.

When turn the throttle fully open, it gurgles for a few seconds and then its the power.

I will try and attach a video in a bit, but any first ideas?

Are all 4 header pipes hot? Possibly a fouled plug?

When is the last time it ran proper? Hours, Days, Weeks, Months??

And everything else below 7000 RPM is normal, but it just kinda lulls along but not sputtering, then picks it up and goes?

- First suspect would be water in the fuel, as you hit the sweet spot the water shifts position in the tank and gets shoved into the engine??? WAG!!
- Next guess would be TPS

If not a fuel issue the ignition is under pretty heavy load about then but I'd guess if it had issues, it would show up at other times too.

On top of everybody else said I would add:
- restricted fuel flow - this happen to me on my wife's ER6N. I've pinched fuel hose. Bike started fine, rolling out of driveway fine, but opening throttle on straight gave no acceleration. Went back to garage, fix the hose - bike purrs like cat ! Restricted fuel flow can be also result of busted fuel pump.
- restricted air flow in air filter.

+1 sounds like a fuel delivery issue

you got it mate, i ended up taking it to a garage, TPS sensor issue
