Once again it turned into a pissing match...

I think we all saw this coming...

There's no way this will be info only - even if that was by design.

Any good info will have a source, that source will have a bias, and whoever posts that will know good and well which way the bias is going. You'll wind up with competing 'facts' gathered from all corners of the internet presented as the truth/info on the story.

Also I think it's impossible for members of this forum to post comments on something without letting their opinions and emotions get involved.

Mate that's a sweeping generalisation, over 22,000 members on the forum, there are many members who can post without their "Opinions and emotions getting involved". This just happens to be an emotive subject for two or three members.

I agree, we all saw it coming (sadly).

Our legal system is not perfect, but it's what we have. I think it may be time to sit back and let the "system" function. I don't think there are any winners, only losers with this incident. Many people will have their lives changed because of what happened. We all feel directly impacted in some way and may be viewed by others differently because of this. I found myself drawn not to the actual violent acts, as much as what was depicted in the videos. The fact that this large group of individuals can ride seemingly wherever they want on the road, sidewalks, shoulders. etc., without any interference from police, or fear of police is mind boggling. It is as though I was watching some "B" movie at times. We are all entitled to form our own opinion of what we saw, that is our right, but everybody at least for the time being is allowed their freedom of expression.

There was no brake-check.

definitely saw the LED's light up on that bike. definitely saw the helmet cam maintain speed, and bike slow down.

What makes you say there was no brake check?

watched it two more times. Definitely saw LED's light up.

I wouldn't want to be withing 100 miles of you on the road then, if that is what you saw. Wouldn't feel safe.

I just don't see the rear light come on at all. It may be that you have a better resolution monitor than I even after watching several times I don't see it. I thought that it may have been flashed at between 23-25 seconds but it happens so dam quick.
If anyone has the technology to post a super slow video please go ahead.

The light is glaring bright, can be seen before the 22 second mark... impossible to miss when it is on it is that obnoxious on my screen.

I have a 600 dollar monitor and run the video in max resolution with perfect clarity, there is no brake light when he is in front of the van.

Frankly, anyone who claims to see a brake light is either saying so just cause they hate some blue-collar father of 2 who happens to ride a motorcycle they know nothing about personally or has undiscovered schizophrenia symptoms.

Still very difficult to say, it looks like the rear light went on at 17-18 seconds but the passing rider obstructs the view. The rider is also merging with the SUV occupying lane at this time.

"We where trying to slow him down" so by your video you can draw the conclusion that they were in fact. Trying to stop him? And why oh why are they having to get arrested to tell something so simple as the truth??

That isn't research that is irrational bigotry.

None of the previous videos has anything to do with the riders there that day.

Those videos apply to them as-much as it applies to you. Which is not at all.

Sorry I forgot to answer your request and dig up your insulting biggot comment. I have the link if you need it as well.

Read the rules of the forum.

Personal insults will not be tolerated.

Discuss the topic, disagree with the opinions of others but when you start attacking other members personally, there will be consequences.

I am not aiming this at any one member. There are several members in this thread who I am now giving the chance to pull their heads in.

Thank you

A friendly reminder.....before this goes to hellinahandbasket again.
So PLAY NICE!!

As they should be. The SUV driver committed a crime and was driving dangerously. Shame they didn't stop him sooner.

You find the truth insulting, too bad.

I like how he says he bumped a bike and had he apologized we "probably" would have forgiven him. Why didn't they just take his plate number and report him?

He ran over 2 people. Would you actually do nothing if someone ran over your friends or family, if so I feel terrible for your friends and family they deserve better.

Recording plate numbers and reporting them does nothing at all, 100 percent waste of time. The guy if he can afford a lawyer will get off every single time. You must visually ID the guy in the dark over windows to prosecute him in court.

You must break out his windows and get him out of the car to get visual that will actually hold up in court. You have to be able to prove 100 percent he was the driver, plate numbers will get you no where with a guy that can afford a real lawyer.

I think he meant prior to the aggressive acts on both sides (pre-video)

Can we report this under the forum rules as an individual advocating a criminal act? Last I checked it was never ok to damage someone else's property or physically touch them. Quite frankly I'm tired of this absurdity.

Catching a fleeing felon is not a criminal act, which is why the cop on the scene helped the bikers get the perpetrator.

You are the one advocating letting the criminal get away and living in the delusion that the cop was bad and the whole place was just full of bad people the your proof? they were on motorcycle.

Your stance is absurd in the mathematical sense, what is reasonable to believe is their was only one criminal there and he was in the SUV, not your whole world against the one random SUV for no reason conspiracy nonsense.

This brings up something: I notice sometimes vehicles with very dark tinted wiindows, even the driver's side. How does one get away with it? I imagine that cops must be very wary of walking up to a vehicle of which one can't even see what passengers/driver are/is doing. I guess they try to order occupants out of the vehicle?
