Yamaha comfort seat

Has anyone taken the yamaha comfort seat apart ? I have one and it gets hot, really hot.

I am all done have kids but still cooking my neither region seems a little dicey. Wondering if I can take it apart and maybe replace the gel or what ever it is with something else. I only have 1 seat so kinda worried about tearing it apart, I like the cover material but I am not sure if it is glued on.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

I never took one apart, but it should only be stapled together.
