Well, I finally got there. :)

Did about 215 miles on the bike yesterday and was able to take this picture:

And the best part is that it happened here:

Just thought I'd share it with you all! Happy (and safe) riding!

Is the chain stock?
I wonder if stock chain can be used for 30k miles.

The chain isn't stock.

I'm assuming the chain that was on it when I bought it last year (14,000 miles) was, and I keep mine pretty well lubed.... but I still changed it about 29,000. Sprockets were still in good shape though!

Let me get this straight...
Just last year you had 14,000 miles on the bike. And now you have over 30,000. And you live in Michigan! Not exactly a year round riding climate for MOST people. You're one hard core rider, Xavias. You must be like the mailman: snow, rain, ice...none of it slows you down. Well done.

that's awesome, wish I could do that much riding

edit: just passed 15k miles myself on the way home last night

Yeah, The trip to colorado last year helped, but that was only about 4,000 miles.
Also: didn't ride from Thanksgiving -> february due to a low side thanksgiving morning.

My usual rule is: 32 degrees and clear roads = go go go!

Snowboarding gear over bike gear works great, by the way. ;)
