Hi, and low work, but no more dual low.

The right side headlamp bulb is a dual filament H4 lamp and the left side is a single filament H7 lamp. Do one of the lamps have a blown filament? :)

No light on the right with low. What model bulb do I need for the fix?

Unless you (or someone else) modded the bike (BD43 mod or other) the right side low beam DOES NOT WORK FROM THE FACTORY, it is normal. The left side is Low Beam, the right side High Beam only.

The BD43 mod adds a wire to the factory harness (under the battery box) and plugs into the right side plug and illuminates the right side low beam to match the left side, factory low beam..

Was it operational before? Many bikes have the headlamp mod done and the right side lights on low beam.

As Scott pointed out the right side headlamp as it comes from the factory does not light except for the high beam. It does have a low beam filament which can be made to light properly.

Like others said only one low beam from factory so if it had two it was a mod. Need to check and see if you have two wires to the right head light and then you'll know if it has a mod. Then track it back and see if there is disconnect.

I guess the low beam filament on right could have burned.

IF THE RIGHT SIDE WAS MODDED, it have THREE wires to the plug, not the factory TWO.

If there's only two, its still stock and ONLY high beam will work..

And yes, you can use the correct style automotive bulb. As Cliff mentioned, each side uses a model different bulb.

**Just to reiterate, if there's TWO wires to the right bulb (as you sit on the bike) and the high beam works, the bulb is fine, the bike is working as it was designed..**

Thanks for the correction.

It's the right side and it has two wires on the bottom and one comming out of the top. Do I need a H7 for the right side?

Sylvania Silverstar Ultra vs. Philips X-treme Power. Cycle Gear has the Philips for $25. Anyone have a link on H7 deals?

Sometimes the filament in a bulb will break and vibration will make it complete the bridge again and as it touches it re welds itself but the weld is poor and the filament will fail again.

This is a separate issue from your dead battery.

Check your plug and associated wiring. :)

Hi all, new member here, this may be a stupid question but why didn't they just put H4's in both lights at the factory?
seem's like the dipped headlights will be poor with just one bulb, and wouldn't it also be better for visibility having both dips on?
I like the way the indicators light up like running lights though.
Just bought my FZ6 yesterday, lot's of mods I'm interested in,the bike is standard apart from scorpion cans, but they could be a problem from what I've read here because I'd like to add a Givi monokey rack.
Another question, some of the F6's have lower hp,how can you tell which is which? bit late now asking that I've bought the bike though I suppose, thanks
