I wouldn't do that if you are tired, but can't sleep.

Go out tomorrow and pick up some of that new stuff by Vicks. It's called ZzzQuil. It's like a NiteQuil but it is not for any kinda sickness. It's only for falling asleep. The BEST thing about it is that it is NON habit forming.

You are correct, but if this is the time that he would normally sleep then it would not be a good idea to go for a ride. There is a good chance he has been awake for 16+ hours and wouldn't be alert enough.
