Hi forum,

I have owned my FZ6 for a few weeks now.

For some reason, the fuel gauge (digital) is always blinking,
no matter how much gas is in the tank.

Has anyone experienced this? I could not find anything on the forum via search.

Thanks

check the wiring under the tank either the white or green clip might have come outta place

Does it do this:

This fuel meter is equipped with a self-diagnosis
system. If the electrical circuit is defective,
the following cycle will be repeated until the
malfunction is corrected: “E” (Empty), “F” (Full)
and symbol “ ” will flash eight times, then go
off for approximately 3 seconds. If this occurs,
have a Yamaha dealer check the electrical circuit.

Cause I think if it were disconnected it would. Thus I speculate that the float is sunk OR stuck - and not rising?? IDK!

Yep.

So I counted the flashes and sure enough it was 8 flashes,
then pause.

The only question remaining is do I need to do anything about this. It doesn't seem to matter.

just pull the tank up and make sure the plugs are hooked in correctly (nothing loose or corroded, frayed, cut, etc) if none of the simple things work, then if you want to leave it be, then go for it. BUT it would bug the piss out of me...just sayin :Flip:
